The diamond

Most of the cost of an engagement ring is the centre stone. Four things shape it: cut, colour, clarity, and carat. Cut matters most for how the stone looks, since a well-cut diamond returns more light. Colour and clarity affect price more than they affect what the eye notices at arm’s length. Carat is the size, and it climbs the price quickly.

Natural or lab-grown. We offer both. They are chemically identical. Lab-grown lets you buy a larger or cleaner stone for the same budget, which is why many people choose it for the centre.

The setting

A solitaire holds a single stone and shows it off most. A halo rings the centre with smaller diamonds to make it read larger. A pavé band adds diamonds along the shoulders for extra sparkle. The setting also affects daily wear: claws show the most light, while lower, more protected settings suit hands-on days.

The metal

We work in 18K gold: yellow, white, or rose. White gold reads cool and modern against a diamond; yellow and rose bring warmth. The choice is personal, and it can be matched to a wedding band later.
